John Lockhart was called to the bar in 1977, after taking his law degree at the University of Toronto, and his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph.John started his career at the firm of West & Robb in Brampton, where he met Doug Tannahill. They became partners in 1978.
John has long practiced in the area of litigation, but devotes most of his time to serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has achieved considerable success in advancing claims against insurance companies arising out of accidents and disability. John is a proud member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
John has great compassion for the devastating effects of personal injury and/or losing a loved one in an accident, and brings that compassion to his clients, as well as sound professional advice to all of his cases.
Often accident victims and their families cannot afford costly litigation.
In most instances, John will take on a case on the basis that he will be paid upon the final Settlement of the case.
John is a practicing Christian. He has served in the past on the boards of The Calcutta Mission of Mercy, the Brampton Life Centre and Kennedy Road Tabernacle. John believes his faith perspective particularly in the area of personal injury and death claims assists him in meeting his clients needs in the appropriate cases (Psalm 1:1-2).
